Next up on my Behind the Spine Podcast is Abriana Johnson. Abriana Johnson is a lifelong equestrian, author, illustrator, and the creative mind behind the Cowgirl Camryn book series. With a background in Animal Science, equine studies, and One Health, Abriana creates stories that introduce children to the powerful relationship between people, animals, and the environment.
Since launching Cowgirl Camryn in 2019, she has been committed to expanding representation in children’s literature and the equestrian industry by creating joyful, imaginative stories where more kids can see themselves in farm life, horse culture, and everyday adventure. Through books, author visits, school assemblies, and creative experiences, Abriana uses the wisdom of the herd to teach lessons in empathy, responsibility, confidence, resourcefulness, and belonging.
